No the Skyline was a family saloon right from the beggining (with other body styles available) which just happens to have a famous bonkers GT-R version.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the history of the GT-R. GT4 taught me the history of the Skyline.

If you go far back enough, the Skyline sedan wasn't even a Nissan. They were another company bought by Nissan and they decided to continue production of it.

But the one everyone remembers is the crazy GT-R version.
