International AS-148

Hey guys...

anyone got anymore information about these old rigs? also anyone know of any parts ect for them? it would be a shame for it to be left the way it is and i really dont wanna have to turn it into a "hot rod" (turm used very loosly) to show it off to the world

Mine is a 1953 model... 2 Tonne (so naturally you can put 4 on it lol) and 16 inch wheels on it... for the record they have been the problem, why it was taken off the road in the first place

yeah any info would be greatly appreaciated

It was a common model so I'd be surprised if most if not every part you want for that old Inter couldn't be sourced through a bit of hunting around

240 petrol motor is it? I guess you've already tried Wagga Tractor & Truck?

Good chance these guys can help you out
Automotive Surplus Online

Hillman Spares & Repairs in Melb will definately be worth a call - they used to carry a gobsmacking range of obscure vintage stuff, or probably direct you towards other vintage suppliers like Auto Spares Galore

This mob has some interesting bits & pieces
About Time Spares - International - new old stock spare parts
(btw if they've been sitting on the shelf too long then I'd be wary of using NOS rubber brake seals & hoses)

I'd be very surprised if you can't source a dizzy cap for your long-running engine series from the above list!

Failing that, have you tried other big rural truck dealers, for example long-established outfits like Intermotors near me, or maybe Gilbert & Roach etc?

It didn't take long just surfing through the net to find all manner of Inter AS stuff, from vintage NOS window-winder handles to speedo cables etc etc. Looks like > Wagga Truck & Tractor < might deserve your enquiry
