did they fit the factory optioned brembos to it or did they keep the performance brakes fitted standard

well heres some stopping figures for the BA:

100km/h-0 standard brakes: 1st stop 36m, 10th stop 38.2m
100km/h-0 performance brakes: 10th stop 37.4m, 15th stop 61.2
100km/h-0 brembo brakes: 15th stop 36.4m

Jesus that pretty good also add thje super hard brake pads and the competition discs and i think itll be a mite better again.

it be good to see a comparison between fpv's brembo package and the ap racing kit hsv has standard on the gts, but comparing them on each car might have the gt's extra weight working against it

would they actually be allowed to change the brakes to something other than what was available from the factory? the brembo package is pretty close to race spec as it is

Yeah its just uprating it specificly for racing its just a better set of discs and better brake pads

what would they do to the discs to make them better? theyre already crossed drilled and vented all round. my dad keeps complaining that ever since they stopped using asbestos in the pads, their fading has gone throught the roof

yeah asbestos was good stuff for brake pads inspite of what they claim> this disc upgrade well for racing they arnt l9imited by too much its just really somthing to extend the life eg better material or som thing like that.

No not that radical just maybey a differnt alloy so it can disperse heat more and last longer.

Well to my knowlage the brembos are all of the above id be very ssuprised if they were solids (on the front anyway im pretty sure the rears are solid)

well the specs for the front brembos are:
44mm rear pistons, 40mm front pistons, 4 piston calipers
355mm x 32mm crossed drilled an vented discs

rear brakes:
30mm rear pistons, 28mm front pistons, 4 piston calipers
330mm x 28mm crossed drilled an vented discs

Well as i said theyll more then likely add rock hard brake pads that wont fade no where near as much andprobly add rotors that will take heat better and such but anyways on to a new subject we arnt getting nowhere on this one! The TE50 drivan by John Falk is actually performing very well its been on the podium many times this year!
