Toyota Corolla AE86. Everyone acts like it can beat anything and can drift upside down and backwards (thank initial d for this), and ricers selfishly rice them all up, causing deserving enthusiasts who want one to search forever for one.

the preproduction is different from the production model and would have differnt lap times, just like horsepower and torque figures the manufacturer provided stats are horribly unreliable

It can do those times, cause the GM asked a driver from the Le Mans team to race it, and they pulled an under 7min 30 second time and it was witnessed by Motor Trend

i dont think that honda are an overrated car at all . . . if u do the right things to them, they can be fast . . . its just the idiots that do an intake and exhaust and think they are hott shit . . . a friend of mine a EF(88-91 if im not mistaken) hatchback w/ a turbo GSR in it and hes shootin for 11s at the track next year

Maybe u could go to ur friends house and eggnog this car. I'm not beliving this for one second. Considering you claim this civic has a GSR turbo, and the parts listing on the video says PTE Turbo, thats kind of odd. Maybe im missing something. 11's might be possible, but why a civic. I would expect this out of well, a civic. I would love to see what else they have done also, 802 hp, thats alot for a 4 banger. Torque stear here they come.

It was true back in the 80's. But now I would only take one for collection. Btw if you seen the latest real-life Initial D movie, it is true that it can go fast downhill, but I doubt it can beat any RX-7 if the driver was any worse than that......

I'm not a fan of American cars, but I'll have to disagree without throwing feces at you. BTW, I'll save you the verbal onslaught by future posts through mine.

The Corvette in and of itself is a great car, especially for it's costs. Sure, it may have 'primative' technology with it's leaf-springs and what not, but for 70k you get 500 hp, incredible track times, great interior, style, and passion.

Where I agree with you is the general opinion of the Corvette, where people (mainly from America) will kill Corvette-haters because they have wet-dreams about the car. I can see how the car is 'overrated' because of the 'fanboys', but that shouldn't take away from the success of the car. (Same applies to the Skyline, but not to the same extent)

they are great drift cars . . . have u ever seen one at a drift event w/ a professional driver??? they are great, good power even w/ just a semi built motor and they weight nothing, GREAT for gettin the back end out . . . thats y sponsered drivers have em lol
