What so bad about it's leaf-springs?

Same thing that wrong with cast-iron engine blocks. Nothing, but there is better.

What is better depends on what you need. For a high production and relatively low cost sports car what would better? A steel coil spring because of the lower cost?

Probably, it could prevent comments from the EVO magazine that the C6 gets very unsettled on bumpy roads. Therefore the C6 did not make it into their top ten of this year's cars. (The Ford GT won)

Steel coil springs are able to compress and decompress quicker, these cycles ensure the wheel is in contact with even a gnarly patch of road. As compared to leaf-springs which would struggle to maintain grip, especially under braking when they become unloaded. The main advantage of leaf-springs is that it can handle huge amount of instant power without allowing axle hop. As most powerful cars have successfully dealt with axle hop, it's time leaf-springs own up to their short comings.

I gotta put in the Veyron, everyone thinks its a F1 car or sumthin because it has a stupid engine but because of its weight it probably doesn't handle too well.

For S**ts and giggles, elaborate.

The Supra has been in JGTC comp. for ~10 years.

That seems like a pretty good rep to me.
