Being more of a 'Vette fan than a Mustang fan, and factoring in that John Hennessy has been repeatedly sued and shown to be an untrustworthy con-man, I'm forced to pick between your last two options.

I'm going with John Lingenfelter.

If you've ever stood next to a 427TT Lingenfelter Corvette at idle, you'd have no question about it...

Out of the 4 you mentioned it'd be a toss-up between Saleen and Lingenfelter, I do find it curious that you missed my own personal favorite Gale Banks.

I don't think anyone can dispute his expertise in twin turbo applications, especially his records on the Bonneville Salt Flats ....

Here's one for Egg Nog ....

1993 AREX (picture below),

"The AREX, which stands for American Roadster Experimental, was developed by designer David Stollery and Gale Banks Engineering. With a curb weight of only 2600 lbs, its twin-turbocharged, 585-hp engine with five-speed trans-axle, launches this speed demon from 0 to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. If you can afford a bigger speeding ticket, the Banks twin-turbo TPI 5.7L Chevy engine takes you from 0 to 100 in just 6.1 seconds, and takes the quarter mile in 10.8 seconds at a heart-stopping 143 mph." —Platinum

Non sense people!

Steve Saleen is the man! C'mon just look at the S7, none of the other guys even have an original car, let alone one as awesome as that.

Hennessy sucks, he's a con man just like Egg Nog said.

Callaway and Ligenfelter make some sweet cars, but they're not nearly as well known or succesfull as Saleen.

Somewhere on the very scary side of 400 mph, this isn't really a car , its like a plane without wings ....thats a real F16 fighter canopy on it !!!!! If thats not enough, the driver has an onboard air supply.
