Always loved the NSX, but the power/weight gives the Esprit the edge as a performance car.

The esprit can be legendary but it would have it's ass handed over by the NSX, any time. the exeption being the Esprit VS a 1st Gen NSX.

I'd also go with this Esprit. This one is the classic supercar shape and this particular one is the car in it's ultimate guise...at least as long as the gearbox holds out. Esprit V8 Turbos are known for gearbox problems (it's a Renault 21 gearbox), Fifth Gear highlighted it in one of their shows. I'm sure a Youtube search would yield the results.

The NSX is a very, very capable car, but this Esprit wins on exclusivity, as well as straight line speed (and the last ones having tail lights that look like afterburners!). I'd like to see this comparo on track though.

NSX 0-60mph 5secs? where you got that info? it should've been under 5.

Anyway, NSX.

This Esprit doesnt look the part.

EDIT: A 3.5 liter (considered small displacement in Aussies and US's terms) might sound stunning in a V8 layout with Turbo chargers..... never heard of one thou... there's one Esprit in a car showroom just nearby where i stay.... it's been there waiting for buyers for more than 10 years!! hahah ~~ no kidding!

NSX based on reliability.

The Esprit might have a power advantage but the NSX is a better car in every other way.

The Esprit is just more special. It may have its flaws, but in the same sense a Jaguar E-Type is as reliable as a dead cat ... that doesn't mean you wouldn't want to own one.

The Esprit simply has more character than the Honda.

Dunno, it is closely matched, but just because I like Honda's more, I'd take that.

I love Lotus' and especially the Esprit, so I would take that, although I love the NSX as well, this is a good compare.
