The top ten is in no particular order, they are not saying a malibu is better than a Cayman, it's in categories

as I may understand now, they were supposed to be the winners of subclasses defined by C&D.

I think I found out now, after some wine, American logic starts appealing to me....

Doubt that one, since the 3 series has been on that list for an obscenely long amount of time...which is awesome since my dad has one It's a legend, i wonder if it'll ever not make the list...i think if that happened BMW would start re-engineering it the same day it found out...

I've sat in the new Malibu, it's not half bad. Of course, the central knob's a bit cheapo, but a good effort.

Well... the Honda Accord has also been on the list for an ungodly long amount of time too.

-BMW 3 Series
-BMW 5 Series
-BMW M5/M6 Coupe
-Porsche Turbo (hopefully with an aftermarket front bumper)
-Porsche GT3
-Audi A8
-Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
-Ferrari 430 Scuderia
-Lotus Elise
-Lexus IS

This is a US list. If I lived in Europe I'm suspect the Alfa 159, the Renault Clio or Citroen C6 might make appearances.

Well I did consider both the BMW X5 and the Z4, both of which are MADE in the US. Its not my fault that the American automakers for the most part, make sh*tty cars. The Corvette for example, is the best engineered car build by an American car company and it has an interior that is laughable at best. I tried not to be too Eurocentric and at the last minute replaced the VW Rabbit/GTI with the Lexus IS, which is a fantastic car.

Not true the 2008 Corvette has an much better interior for this year and you can dump a few thousand extra for a full leather/premium interior. How about the new Pontiac G8 (although it is really an Australian car).

But only in the slightest. They ranked the accord for something like 11 years in a row at one point. Most of those years the car may have gotten something as radical as new climate control switches...

Well if you had read it you'd know that previous winners are nominated, making the Accord and 3 eligible year after year.

If I read Wikipedia, I can also find out that the Alfa Stradale had 270bhp. Which is great, except that it had 230...

I'm just saying, I catch them out almost as often as I look at the page.
