Car Craft Magazine: "Cars We Hate"

Here is an article I found fun to read.
From Car Craft, Nov., 1989... "Cars We Hate."

There was a "Meanest Muscle Cars" article and after that, was an article called "Cars We Hate."

I agree with quite a few of their choices.

That is completely unfair. The AMC Pacer was the ultimate panty dropper.

I actually kind of like Pacers. Gremlins, too.

As for Beetles...one of those actually caused an accident in which my Dad was involved, part of which of course is because it was climing the Sierra mountains at about 30mph on a 55 or 60mph road. Naturally, he's not terribly fond of them.

30 mph? I can believe it.

I don't agree with entry-level premium premium cars. They can be good alternatives.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with N. California, but it happened on the Sonora Pass, SR 108 at the town of Twain Harte; my Dad used to own a cabin up there. Pretty steep section right there. He'd been held up several times on that stretch of road, usually by VW Beetles or Buses, and the last straw was that accident.

Hey, a diesel back in 1989 is not the same as a diesel from today.

How times have changed.

That is true. I thought of that, too, when I read about the diesel selection.

I don't know. I was awfully fond of the motor in our '79 300SD...
