Coming from you I wouldn't be surprised.

They have spoiled me with their super smooth ride, roominess and reliability.

For a more interesting car...it has a fair amount of presence. Imagine getting out of the back of that for you movie premiere or something. sure its more old fashioned and less capable objectively, but a bit more personality.

The '61 Continental would be better.

But there were no factory-built '61 Continentals Limousines.

Why would it be better?

Even after owning it since 1999, I am in awe of its large size when pulling out of the driveway and driving down the street.

And as you said, it sure gets stares when it is in front of a movie premiere or at a restaurant which has valet parking.

I didn't want a limousine, the 4-door convertible would do.

I just prefer the elegant styling of the Lincoln. It's definitely one of my favourite luxury cars.

They are nice. I wouldn't mind owning one (along with my Cads).

I prefer the Cads because they handled better than the Lincolns while still retaining their smooth ride.

Just out of curiosity, how much do you pay for gasoline in a week, Fleet 500?

Very little.
The '69 Fleetwood was last refueled on Dec. 14 ($25.00 worth). It still has 1/4 tank of fuel and I probably own't drive it until Friday.
The '76 Limo was also last refueled in Dec. (for forgot the date; around Dec. 20). It is at 1/8 so it will need refueling the next time I drive it.
The '95 Town Car was refueled on Dec. 24 and yesterday (the 14th). $25.00 @ $3.38/gallon of mid-grade, 89 octane.

Of course, if I had a long commute to a job, the cost of fuel would be higher, but I would just drive the 21-mpg Town Car to work.

I see. Imagine shuffling one of these behemoths to and from work every day?

I shudder at the gas prices you would see at the pump.

Yeah, no way would I drive one of the Cads on a long daily commute.

For about 4 years, I did drive my limo to work everyday (it was my only car back then), but that was only a 4-mile one-way trip. If it was 15 or 20 miles each way, then forget it!
