Of course Mercedes-Benz engines, in my opinion! The Cosworth engine in the 190e 2,3-16, the supercharged AMG engine in the SL55, E55 etc. The 600 engine in the w140 is also one of the better and it sounds amazing!

Usually Oostvoorne, The Netherlands
1) PSA 2.0HDi DW10
2) Ford Zetec engine range
3) Volvo T5 engine

Very normal engines compared to all the performance models seen here, but absolutely great engines nevertheless.

In no particular order:
430 Scuderia V8
'08 Viper V10 (variable valve timing pushrod!)
E92 M3 V8 (I know everyone hates it, but it weighs less and revs to 8400 RPM)

Narrowly missing the list due to cop outs or unavailability here:
2.4L V8 in the Caterham Seven RS (90kg and decent power even naturally aspirated)
Many classic motors; it was too hard to choose, so I copped out.
