Isn't the next flagship Ferrari going to be a twin turbo v8 anyway? If its the case then Ferrari don't care about the number cylinders either.

doesn't bother me so long as it is effective and sounds great..
i.e. i'd take the V8 from a modena/f430 whatever over the V12 from the 550

121 LM was sort of a bust - powerful but ineffective. Ferrari won a LOT of races with four cylinder cars.

And if you think back to Villa d'Este 2007, the sound of that that 860 Monza even drowned out the V12s.

You can't beat the song of 12 cylinders. Plus V8 is a vegetable juice that doesn't taste all that great.

everything that doesn't have 12 cylinders should just be called a Dino
EDIT: Actually 8's and 12's should be Ferraris and 6's and 4's should be dinos.

It's the badge that makes it a Ferrari.

Thus, if you want to think of it that way, all the crappy Pontiac Fiero replicas of Ferraris are Ferraris as well.

It's all perception anyway.

v8 throught v12 are pretty similar. F1 started at V12's then had turbo 6's and now they're on to v8's i believe. V8's are nice v12 are smoother, its all preference. idk as long as it performs

Turbocharged V8 is the ultimate for everything. Turbo charged everything please. I hate big engines. Love straight/Flat 4s or 6s.

It's not really the # of cylinders, it's the soul. A 599 has a V-12, yet it lacks the same presence as some of the "lesser" Ferrari.

You are missing quite a lot of Ferrari F1 engines...
