Usually Oostvoorne, The Netherlands
I'd do it in some nice van. Probably the newer version of the Nissan Interstar / Renault something..

Odd choice yes, why ? Because it is surprisingly light, you can carry everything you need, it's heavy and stable on the motorway and the suspension is good. Also being able to look out over the other cars (including even the largest SUV's ) is really handy and makes so that you feel less fastly tired because you can look ahead much more. Torquey diesel engine makes for no shifting AT ALL even on the hilliest motorways.

Ferrer, you didn't go Bentley? How odd...

I would consider either current Maser but that is just a tiny amount of potential cars I'd think of. A '59 Eldorado would be pretty cool to cruise in too I think.

after seeing clarkson say not one bad word about the veyron on his european high mileage race on top gear its hard to say you wouldnt choose it.

Other than that. I'd probably take an Aston Martin Vantage V600. Other than that, a 911 GT3 or a Zonda Roadster.

An Airbus, other than that a million possibilities, Brooklands, DBS, SLR, Quattroporte or Granturismo, XJR...

Hadn't thought about the Brooklands that'd be pretty excellent.

Well you know, I'd probably need many journeys. And it also depends on where you're going.

Fors instance Route 66 makes a lot of sense in a classic convertible muscle/US luxury car like Lincoln Continental or a Buick GS 455 Convertible. But then if I have to go from Barcelona to Naples, it has to be the Quattroprte which combines handling and speed. And so it goes on...

Exactly. If these are straight roads, that is, and I ain't paying for gas. ...and it has to be a convertible.
EDIT:Or a Cadillac Sixteen.
If hilly twisty mountain roads, a Lotus Elan. 3,000 miles might be hard, though. I'd go through so many Lucas Electric's products, it'd be more expensive than gas for the Continental.
If a mix of the two, E46 M3 or E90 335i.

i think that i would be happy with my car for that purpose, does everything very nicely. but price being no object, i would rather have a 599.

a Conti GT, Brooklands, GranTurismo, or DB9 would also all be acceptable. i wouldn't want to the veyron, since it is so wide with poor rear visibility, it would be a challenge to really drive in traffic.

probably go for a 599 or maybe a Brabus Bullitt if i wanted to get creative, 800 torques would make 3k go by in a hurry haha. as for a classic, i dont know if theres anything better than a Ferrari 365 Daytona coupe
