Panoz Esperante GT1 vs Mazda 787B?

Out of these two which one would have the fastest lap on Monaco?

It would be close, the 787 has a better power to wieght ratio but the Panoz is 10 years newer. Race car technology changes a lot in 10yrs.

I'd go the 787 for the power/weight.
Monte Carlo hs not real speed corners where handling would come into it's own, the corners are mostly too tight for these behemoths, so they'd pretty much be walking pace ( suspicion that Loews may even need a 3-point turn )
So I reckion pure acceleration OUT of the corners is the only place time could be made up.

i'm sure the 787B has much more downforce . so at Monaco that does help a little ..
