nothing major, just my first attempt at a flip-effect paint job

by flip effect, due u mean the colour changing??
we used to have a colour changin primera, nissan did a special edition, went from purple to green, was truly awesome. head turner like no other
apart from tvr, i dont know of any other manufacturer who does the paint job, prob 'cause of the price!!!

yeah, that is what i meand. The purple to green looks amazing. TVRs look great with the flip effect, though I haven't seen it being used recently.

Oh Yeah my dad had that Primera the paint was nice in the sun but in overcast conditions the paint colour was 'orrid.

Wow, the paint looks kinda fuzzy.........

Now I know how bad purple looks on a Saleen.

the paint really did fascinate ppl, we got off a ticket once. Had parked in an incorrect place (!) and the ticket dude let us off for having an 'interesting coloured car'. Too bad we had to get rid of it. Nissan did the whole range, they did the Micra which went from goldish to raspberry it looked nicer that it sounds, and once saw an Almera with i think a blue to yellow...
Totally agree, colour change was best in sunny weather. When goin from shade to light whole car would flip from green to purple, seriously smooth. Most of the time, the side of the car would start green and slowly change to purple at the back. All the intermediates in the middle.
Then again, with British weather, didnt get much opportunity for this!

It's actually called Pearlescent paint but is more commonly called flip paint so you are right calling it that.
This car is done in Multi Magic.

yeah I didn't really play around after the major colour change. No fine-tuning lol, it was just a quick experiment
