Four-door, front engined Veyron

Inspired by all this talk of the next Bugatti being a Panamera competitor...

Hope you like it - it's a bit of a rush job, but a total nightmare to do.

I've 'chopped' the back and extended the nose so that it looks front engined; used a reversed and modified front door window to make the back door window; extended the area behind the front door to make a back door and changed the profile of the scoop so that it fitted the new rear door. I also changed the location of the door handle very slightly to make it look more balanced. I did try adding a back door handle (in both suicide and regular) but I could make it look right, so 'it's got a hidden handle or solenoid popper'.

ETA: please click through the pop-up - it looks better full size.

I see where you're going with this. It looks good.

It's still a work in progress right? The rear door looks real messy, but other than that it's a good chop, IMO.

Don't worry - I do. I really like it.

When I get some time there's a few things I need to tidy up - rear door being one of them, but the skirt, scoop and background all need work. I'll post the properly finished one when i get round to doing it!

Doesn't it need a longer bonnet to house the W16?

Other than that it looks interesting.

I like the idea, though in execution there would be some issues, i.e it would be bloody hard to get in back.

No, remember the W16 is only 4 cylinders deep.

the car could probably do with less not more weight to be honest, and with rear passenger space you would never be able to fit the W16 engine in the back. let alone all the radiators to cool it. So in theory you'd want to put the engine in the front unless you positioned the engine horizontally. Doing that would mean a complete redesign of the vents and cooling system and the car would likely struggle to reach 180 let alone 252mph. Itd probably be best calling the project something else and ditching the 'veyron' tag altogether. In that respect its a good idea.

But still, its a decent idea for a chop

Great creativity. I see where you're going with the design, but I'd have to agree with 2ndclasscitizen that it would be a bitch to try and get in the rear door. Wouldn't take much to clean up the rough edges. I'd also move the door seam line to match the b-pillar, or the other way around, not sure how it looks compared to the original.

Great idea.

But I feel the Car is too long.
Also the rear vent near the rear door wont be necessary now.(hope I am not wrong) as the engine is situated in front.

Would like to see the final design
