GT... do you think im stupid??? i know what a rally car is.... silly silly little GT500, i am addicted to rally... anywho. it cant be a gradient tool, unless its multilayred with some parts slightly errased... thats the only way i can think of it. im not sure.

EDIT: haha, now I actualyl understand you entire post (stupid me....so tired). He lasso'd some bits and made a new layer. he then filled that bit in with a gradient and alowered the opacity accordingly. Or at least I think....painterr you are welcome to step in anytime.

I will have to look for sure but I think I did it with three layers the top one is a gradient and set as a softlight, the second I used color balance and added a design to it and then made it an overlay and dropped the opocity some and the third layer was a solid gray and set at normal.
