2048 Mustang

Another chop for the NZ Performancecar magazine

Spent a bit of time on it as you can see. I've attached a number of stages throughout the chop too.

CHOP BRIEF: Christchurch-based performance camshaft specialist Kelford Cams is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, and to celebrate, the company will produce a commemorative design — and that’s where you choppers come in. There aren’t many performance cars that were around in 1968 (when Kelford opened) that are still being made today, but the Ford Mustang is one. Taking this image of a 2008 Mustang, we want you to create a new Mustang model for the year 2048 (40 years from now). The ’08 car takes plenty of design cues from the 1968 Mustang, so your design should still reflect some character of the original.

I think it's too rounded... looks like some sort of toy cars you can buy...

But yet again, I'll never be able to do anything like that in my lifetime. *sigh*

Well done, with the door being that high up, how do you get inside the thing.

Oh, and great job on the rim reflections.

I think he did.

It does look similar.

It is nicely done. Very realistic.

Anyone do the aerodynamics of a Tweel?

It doesn't look too aerodynamic. And what happens if a metal bar gets stuck into the little holes? That'll do some massive damage. They should cover it up.

Sure, why not? It would probably be more appealing to people more used to pneumatic tires.
