Hey whats up people, anyone can tell me any site where i can learn everything about a car engine or motor???

well, im thinking of going to university and study that, but im not sure though...i dont need to start from scratch, i knew how a car worked from the age of twelve...

I knew how engines worked prob. since i was ten or twelve, curiosity killed the cat! hehe, Buy books, Buy old engines, tear them apart, buy an nitro RC car, it will all help.

There are tons of books about engines, how they're built, the technology involved, racing use, etc. Go to you're local bookstore and pick some books up; also, check out the website that sweeney posted.

yeah, www.howstuffworks.com is good, i asked the same question a few weeks back. there is better (engine design plans kinda stuff) but for basics, it works very very well

I't not hard to find out how an engine works. I'm 14 and I have a pretty fair knowledge of cars, parts, etc. Look up books from the library, google (helps loads) those sites posted, but you have to at least use an actual engine. I don't think this belongs in the chop forums though, probably the technical forums...
