Lancia Fulvia Sedan

The Lancia Fulvia sedan was presented in 1963. It was fitted with 1100 cc V4 engine (angle 13 degrees) allowing for one cylinder head, in spite of being a V-engine (the same principle as now being hailed as a VW invention in the VR6 and W12 engines). Lancia has a very long tradition in V engines and the Fulvia engine had already been in use in the Appia since 1953, but now it found application in an FWD car.

It was a boxy sedan, but already fitted with four disc brakes. Over time more powerful versions appeared, with 1216 and 1298 cc engines. The top version was the 2C.

Production lasted until 1972 and just over 192,000 examples were made.

Of course the Fulvia is much more famous because of its coupe versions, but the sedan is still a nice car to run, building upon the real Lancia tradition.
