pontiac parisienne '65 4 door.

What do you guys think of the pontiac parisienne? Im looking for a car, and would prefer an older one. The particalur one im looking at is a 65' 4 door. With a aftermarket 396. Redone to original (minus engine). Asking 3,500

Isn't the 2-door Parisienne the basis for the GTO, platformwise?

I like the convertibles as well, never seen a 4-door though. Any pics?

the GTO is based on the Tempest LeMans

this car sounds like decent deal if you want a practical cruiser...however it wont really be that fast and it obviously wont be that great on gas...

The price is can be negociated (sorry sp), i couldnt get the pictures of the actual car because its a local sale. Here is a picture of one with a really wierd paintjob, the only one i could find of the 4 door. This car is incredibly rare from what i can tell.

A mate of mine used to have a 4 door pillarless 63 Pontiac Parisienne here in Oz, completely orginal and was a mad cruiser. He sold it about 3 years later when we found a 66 Oldsmobile Toronado and not long after a 72 Toronado.

All these cars are pretty hard to come across over here.

The Parisienne is pretty common here in saskatchewan. Saskatchewan is litterally a gold mine for old cars. Considering we produce 50% of canada's grain, we have alot of farms. That means farm cars.

Yep, there are old cars to be found in the backyards of almost any farm. Obviously Canadians don't like to trade in when they buy new
