Fiat 1800-2000 spider

I've been looking at both a fiat 1800 and 2000 spider, they're going for only 2.15-3k, and seem to be in pretty good condition, one of them had its engine rebuilt, however, when i searched i couldn't find alot of specific information about them, so does anyone know anything about them?

Yes; You'd better have deep pockets for repairs and maintenence and a second car for when it requires attention. If you can say "yes" to both of these essential requirements, it may be worth looking into. This comes from a fan of Italian cars.

I had one many years and beers ago, what a blast. Mine had 90,000 miles when I bought it and I'd run that little pig up to redline all day long. Now I should note that I would tune it up every other weekend but it didn't take long. I only had it for a year or so and I'm pretty sure I put TWO thermostats in it and they weren't cheap. The top of the engine is higher than the radiator fill point so I had to jack the front end waay up to get the air out of the system. Hey, it's a sports car you have to expect some weird stuff. Every now and then I think about getting another, for us poor folk it's a fun car.
