Looks like 1924 Mercedes Monza. Wait a bit, and I'll post it.

Damn, missed:

1906 Mercedes 80hp Rennwagen

Hope I didn't miss anything else.

And here are cars that I don't have (tho it doesn't mean that it would be a complete list of Mercedes racers with posted pics) - if someone does, we're all waiting

- 1922 Mercedes 28/95hp Kompressor
- 1922 Targa Florio (6/45/65TF)
- 1922 (or 1923, 1924?) Targa Florio Stromlonien (the same index - 6/45/65TF)

Wow, those are ancient. When mercedes weren't over-priced peices of crap, and they actually won races.

After searching the net I'm sure that it's a 1924 car, cause a transporter is 1924 Mercedes Typ 28/95. And the racer is 1924 2-litre 8-cylinder GP car, better known as Mercedes Monza. Thanks for sharing.

And one more picture of Mercedes Typ 28/95 transporter loaded with Monza.

Mercedes Racing Cars

Exellent Pics,
thank you for posting. Would be nice to have some actual pics of these cars. Unfortunely, there is little interest, of the 'dawn' of motorsport. From 1914 onwards, many cars had DOHC 4 Valve Engines and many ended up as streetcars, the first and only supercars!!!
Times are changing, today nobody could buy an Formula 1 car and drive it on the street, not even an sportsprototype. In the old days, racing cars were driven from really 'strong' mens and today, they need Midgets, who can fit and drive.'Supercars' are constructed, for the 'last hurra', of old guys (50+).
Try to fit an Otto Merz, Hans Stuck, Froilan Gonzalez, or Fangio in an modern Formula 1. This must be fun.
Jörg
