RM just sold a Mercedes Benz 540 K Spezial Roadster for 4 million pounds. Where is it? Also, Bonhams has a Rolls coming up which they expect to sell for 2 million pounds.

Another case of all those end-of-the-year summaries coming too early. Wait till the end of the year, as the name suggests
 There are still a few auctions in calendar for December.

According to Barchetta, 250GTO # 5095 was sold privately into the UK for 14 mln Euro. or well over 20 mln US#
 There might be many other deals going around of which we hear very little...

I don't believe this!
Most of this cars, mentioned in this link, where brought over the last years, around the world, to nearly every Car Show and failed to sell. The Alfa is a rebuilt Car, without Chassis Number, in the US is another Dino, which couldn't sell for 1 Million. The 330 TR, was flown over years around the world and didn't sell and than in one Auction, recordprices for all cars. Thats nonsense. They are only trying, to push the prices higher. The Guys, who mentioned the record sale of the Ferrari GTO, are in the Ferrari business, they are dealers, their page even is more for cardealers, than for information. Look at the last RM Auction in London. The Important Cars, from Abba Kogan, didn't sell. For me it's only a game, from some auctionhouses and their clients. Why guys like Ecclestone, Shirley, Koogan and Monteverde really should sell some cars. Can't believe, they need some cash. Jörg
