XYGT circuit racing clip
Thought Id pass this on, dont know if its ben posted before?
Its an 08 clip from Bathurst nostalgia series, ignore the music and listen to the engine and the drivers style and I think you'll like it.Wish i could see what cars ended in front of him

nice clip, can probably see whiteballz amongst the spectators
LOL @ the music edit: track looks so crowded, makes me cringe - that E49 charger seems to stay ahead of him edit2: haha nope, overtaken. poor mini's getting monstered on the straights ![]()

Watching that reminded me of Gran Turismo when I would race with a much faster car against the competition. The choice of music was definitely lol worthy.

some FANTsTIC classics racing there ... I did nearly choke on my coffee at the site of the little A35 lining up in the grid in front.... talk about a car being misplaced on the grid
![]() What happened, was it crap qualify or late out of pits ?? It does annoy me when folks blow about going from back of the grid to the front(ish) when in realitity the conly competitive cars were the 2 or 3 in the front group. Definately shoudl have been a stewards decision on that as starting it from the back with such a large field was crying out for an accident All it woudl have taken was one owner with more money and ego than sense willing to nerf a classic to stay ahead. Thankfully it looks same as here that those types are few and far between ![]() Great sound. Put in one of my favourites for sure. TA |

Maybe it's just the nature of the game, but people seemed pretty cavalier about apexes.
I remember reading a column by Gordon Murray where he talks about the mundanities of supercar development and one of the things he mentioned was making sure the windshield wipers stay attached to the windscreen at speed, so it was funny to see them lifting off. Was it a reverse grid race?

^^^^^^ failry typical of classic/historic racing scene.
expensive to repair and a wide mix of "racing" skills. So everyone tends to give a bit more space. I'm betting if the in-car had started up front withthe others it woudl have been a little more like real racing ![]() and NO clearly NOT a reverse grid with an A35 sitting on second last row ![]() |

That was a great video Willys, it was quite laughable seeing some of the cars that the Phase III was up against, the difference in speed was astonishing! And what a sound! Aur-gasm!
It was nice to see the Valiant Charger too, the old six banger was quick in her day, but no match for a 400bhp Cleveland. I daresay that the Phase III in the vid is poking out quite a considerable amount more than just 400 too... |

That car is good for about 650hp its a biante car so basically a historic sports sedan. Its driven by Jack"Hollywood" Elsegood linka ex rugby league player who now dabbles in Motorsport. The event he was running in is a FOSC event (Festival of Sporting Cars) and they dont allow rubbing etc so most of the competitors give plenty of racing room. If you rub, divebomb under brakes or overdrive your car you get sent home no ifs or buts.
Another yager performace car this one is a Improved Production MK2 Escort running a FE Mazda engine... look for a cameo of the nephew in the green corolla with white racing stripes at the start ![]()

I'm with willys, great vids and if you listen REAL hard fantastic engine sounds ... but drowned out and ruined by the music.
I wish these guys would post 2 copies if they insist on have a chav version. One with unadulterated sound would be so much better ![]() hmmm, or maybe YouTube need to offer two audio tracks ... original and "edited" |
