To be even more exactly:
Fiat is the name of a big holding in which ferrari/fiat/maserati and lots of others are included, of which the main FIAT brand is the biggest.

To get even more dumbfoundingly technical did you know that General Motors owns 20% of Fiat? Also, if Fiat gets its way it will be owned 100% by GM? They're trying to force a buy-out of the remaining 80% of stock. But, not to fear, there is a clause in the contract that Maseratti and Ferrari would not be included in the deal, thank God.

GM also has a small amount of stock(very small) in Honda, they share a design studio with Toyota(i.e. Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe, older Geo Prizm and Toyota Corrola). As I have previously stated, they also own 20% of Fiat Spa, the parent company of Farrari and Maserati.

I don't know how up to date that GIF file is MrVette83 so some number could be slightly wrong, afterall Honda owns Acura and it's not even included, I also see an absence of TVR which are supposably independant and DiamlerChrysler who own about 40% of Mclaren which also do not appear to be there.
But it helps to see the basics of who owns who.
