You are obvioulsy ignorant.

"Why would you buy a Maybach 62 when it is out-performed by a Caterham Fireblade?"

I'll tell you why.

First off it looks ten times better than any Viper. Second, it's an Aston Martin, way more exclusive and prestigous than the Viper could ever hope to be. Third, it's performance isn't that far off the Viper's mark, and yet it can be had as a two plus two (the way I would want mine). It also has all the comforts and amenities of a luxury car, making it in my opinion the greatest grand tourer ever.

With that said, the Viper is a cool car, no disrespect to you or your preferences either Werty. You just aren't seeing the whole picture.

i can see the whole picture, my question to evryone was why would you buy an aston over a viper performance wise, i never said anything about the luxury of the cars, yes the viper is a cool car, and the vanguish is more luxurious, but if i was shelling out the extra money for the luxury i would expect an aston martin to be faster than the viper as well as more luxurious

what i'm trying to say is, i beleive that aston martin's are not fast enough for there cost, yes they are fast; but just not enough for me, that is why i would choose a viper over it

Thats all amatter of opion while i personally would rather the viper i would not balk at Aston matin. And i think the buyers of both automobiles are in dirrent leauges also they are both after somthing diffrent you cant say a vipers better based alone on cost and speed what if the aston martin buyer planned on excedingly long driving times? wouldent the better cross country car be better there? what if they had a family and wanted a 2+2 car? there are just far to many varibles that could be put on that....i quite franky dont see the point both cars are targetd at very diffrent people.

the fact is that people DO NOT but an aston over a viper performance wise, they WANT the extra luxury. the reason why the viper is so inexpesive for its performance is because it is completely raw, no luxury no comfort, no cushy seats, the only comfort you have is knowing that if you pull up beside a vanqish on the drag strip you won't be vanquished.
these two cars are way different, the vanquish is a luxury supercar, it's luxury is what's super about it. the viper is a light weight sports car with the engine that counts for the above normal weight. learn the facts, seriously.

Hes totally right, this is stupid. Youre comparing two cars that are made for entirely different reasons for entirely different people, while the Viper is a car to drive, I think of the DB7 or the Vanquish as a car to be driven in. The two machines were made for entirely different reasons, comparing them is like comparing a golf cart and an electric wheelchair.

huh ????
If you're "shelling" out for the luxury then WHY do you expect it to be faster ?

Now, if you're "shelling out" for luxury AND performance then that's a different matter.
But then WHY would you consider a Viper as it's a long way from 'luxury'.

Can I be the saleman when you come to buy a car ?

So do you want luxusry AND performance - and are you willing to pay LOTS more for it in the same car ??

True, true, however i dont think that luxury is even important with an Aston, you pay for an Aston Martin, its a symbol, its what the car says about you, not just how it drives.

I read an article on the SRT-10, they said that its ride is terrible, fun to ride but very bumpy, i don't think you would get that in a Vanquish. The reason why Astons are so very expensive is because they are COMEPLETELY handmade, the body, the interior, the engine, and everything else is handmade. Then again the TVR Tuscan Speed Six is comepletely hand made also, and it's about the same price as a Viper, and it handles better and is just as fast, it's also more exclusive. So buy a Speed Six instead of a Viper, case closed.
