1986 Porsche speedster?

I'm not aware of Porsche producing a speedster in '86. Can someone vertify this??

According to the seller it is a customized version. I get the jist that it isn't a factory made Speedster.

The 911 Speedster was first introduced in 1987 at the IAA in Frankfurt and 1500 were delivered at the end of 1988-early 1989. In 1993 a number of Speedsters based on the model 964 were also constructed.

I think the only thing we were trying to assess is whether it is possible that an original 1986 built Porsche Speedster can be sold on Ebay. And I think we can conclude that the answer is no, but that does not say anything whether we like the car or not.

the sellerr says it is customised.
If you compare it to a 1989 speedster you can easilly see that it is a modified 911.

Sorry, people. I'm no mensa member but, I can read. In my haste I must have skimmed down too far in the ad. It does give a proper account of its history.
Doesn't the speedster look better then a regular cabriolet?
