Why ?

Lots of folks have worked for and left Microsoft, I don't see anyone beating Bill Gates yet.
And THAT's an easy one to better

im just sayin

that people are sayin that ferrari is better cause "its ferrari" when pagani help design the Jalpa, the design of the Countach Evoluzione , the 4 valve Countach ,Diablo, the Lamborghini P140, the L30 and the Diablo , and the zonda has been a prototype since 1988, and a test model was made in 1992, so its been in development for a while.

so basicly pagani knows his stuff

edit: im not sure if he worked for ferrari buti know he's designed for lambo and the like, also he's made some f1 cars...

Enzo Ferrari left Alfa Romeo to go out on his own, sometimes it works.

Anyways, I like the Pagani better. I think it looks cooler and it is faster. Actually the main reason is that quad exaust.

it isn't faster according to CAR&DRIVER magazine and other sources
Zonda top speed is 189mph, F50 is 202
Zonda 0-60 is 3.6, F50 is 3.4

And...both of the cars have a quad exhaust

pagani may know his stuff very well, but i'm betting that the older and more established Ferrari knows more

Zonda......just!

Tough call this one, mainly cause I reckon they have a subtly different ethos. Obviously they are both mid-engined V12 Italian supercars, but the Zonda is not as totally hardcore as the F50, it has much more of a GT element to it. This is probably why I would go for the Zonda overall, it's more of a rounded car. I'm not saying that the F50 is a worse car because it's less refined, it was never supposed to be a luxury experience. The F50 is brilliant at what it does, but if I was gonna splash out £300000 on a car I would like at least a few a creature comforts!

I think they are both fabulous cars because of the purity of the engineering and design principles. The F50 was intended to be as pure a representation of a road-going racing car as possible, and it achieved it superbly. I love the Zonda because it is just one man's vision of what a perfect supercar should be and he executed it as perfectly as he possibly could, and this kind of determined individualism is something that is seen all too rarely these days.

nope the Zonda C12-S 7.3s top speed is 220 it can almost hit 200 in 5th gear i just saw the Top Gear review for it against the Mercialago (spelling?) and it completely decimated it.

PAGINI!
man id love one! age is a factor. ferrari is good, the pagini is actually faster then the new enzo! (in top speed at least) if not then CAR magazine's facts are off (UK mag). the pagini zonda c12s (faster version) won performance car of the year in 02.

thats cool and all but i'm talking about a stock Zonda vs. a stock Ferrari F50
so if you want to start another poll it should be the Zonda C12 7.3 vs. a Ferrari F50 GT

or maybe another version of the F50 like the one the creator of Duke Nukem has; with the twin turbo that goes 250mph

it was a stock zonda a 2002 C12 7.3...it came from the factory not a tuner.

I would choose the Pagani Zonda over the F50 for looks, but when it comes to the performance the F50 wins hands down. F1 technology.

If I want an AMG powered car I'll buy a CL65.

I know that, what i'm saying is a Pagani Zonda vs a Ferrari F50
not Pagani Zonda C12 7.3 vs Ferrari F50 (that wouldn't be a competition)
There is a difference

1.)a another competition would be a Zonda C12 7.3 vs a Ferrari F50 GT

2.)or Zonda C12 7.3 vs a twin-turbo F50

maybe i should have posted a regular zonda picture instead of the blue one which is the C12 7.3 package
