Tvr?

I dont think many people in the US, Australia or Japan have ever seen one on the road, and most havent herd of them. But in the Uk there fairly common. They are radical looking cars and perform well and sound good to. They are hand crafted in Blackpool north west England.
Any one seen one outside England?

Heres some pics........

Well since i live in the UK i can't answer your question. I just wanted to say a few things.
My Dads mate had a TVR Chimera and when it went in for the first service after 5000 miles the dealership wrote it off! He has another friend who had a Tuscan S but sold it so he could get a Cerbera. I have sat in all of them and the interior of TVR's are like nothing else! They are wild. Also that gold TVR i saw being built on Motors TV on Sky here in England.

I've never seen one in my whole life, they look awesome and fast. The one on the movie "Swordfish" driven by John Travolta looked great (but I didn't like the fact that he couldn't get away from the SUV's which was BS cause I know the speed 12 is super fast)

Wish I get to see one someday..... not in here but in England cause that would mean I'de be on vacation over there

I've never personally seen one outside of England (unless you count the rest of the UK!) because I live in England. But I do know for a fact that they sell in VERY small numbers on mainland Europe. They are available in Germany via TVR Deutschland (http://www.tvrdeutschland.de) and also Italy (http://www.ukgarage.it) They are only imported in tiny numbers so the chances of seeing one there are miniscule.

I know that private collectors and enthusiasts have imported TVRs to North America (http://clubs.hemmings.com/tvr/), but TVR haven't really made any efforts to export to the potentially lucrative US market. None of the current TVRs have bumpers which makes them non-legal in America. They also don't have airbags. Attaching plastic bumpers would no doubt make mess of the outrageous styling that TVR is famous for, and installing airbags and ABS would go against the principles of the company, so unfortunately for you Yanks I can't see TVR 'doing a Lotus' and trying to sell there machines on your side of the pond for the forseeable future!

YEs!! I've seen one in Holland, on the boulevard in Scheveningen (The Hague), something like 3 or 4 years ago... It was a red Chimaera, not my favourite, but one fantastic looking mean machine. It has a dutch licenceplate, and I think I saw it again...in an car magazine!!! It was the mag AUTOWEEK, but I didn't remember the issue-number.
That interior was just awesome!! really 'spacy' and with cool buttons thingies!!!
(the pics are just from a regular Chimaera, so not the one I saw)

I really liked the movie!!! It wasn't a Speed 12 though, it was a Tuscan cabrio. I got a piece of film on which Tiff Needel takes exactly this car, before the movie is shot, to 'learn' how to make a 'handbrake-park'... Fantastic to see him fight with the machine!!!

I have seen a Cerbera in Germany and a Griffith 500 in Switzerland. My sister has seen a Tuscan in Germany. But I've never seen one in my country, Holland.

Yeah, I really like TVRs. My favourite is the Cerbera. It has been one of my fave cars for a long time now. And that Speed 12, what a beast.

It is really odd, but the Cerbera actually has Australian compliance. While I have yet to see a Cerbera here (I have seen a couple of very old TVRs at club races) they were on a printed list of the 10 cars road worthied in Australia which produce over 300 kw. I called a prestige dealership that is around 90 minutes drive away and was told yes, they can get them, no they don't have any right now. And if you can't pay for one, don't bother coming looking!

How rude!

yes i've heard of them but have never seen one in North America. From what i heard they are going to eventually come here. I know a bit about them and know that they have bad reliability, with great handling and wicked interiors.
