Audi Quattro Spyder

Audi Quattro Spyder

The sensation at the 1991 IAA in Frankfurt was a sports car study. A flat sports coupé with V6 mid-engine and a spectacular aluminium body. When rumours emerged that the Audi quattro Spyder was going to be built, Audi dealers received hundreds of enquiries. But in the end, only two prototypes were constructed.

Motor: 2.8L V6
Performance: 174 PS / 128 KW
0 - 100 Km/h: 5,8s
Top Speed: 250 Km/h

Too Bad... it really looks like a fun car. It would have been a nice rival to the SL at the time

this car is magnificent , it is from this point on that audi's le mans fury parked. this car revived the auto union glorius racing days and mada audi realize what profound heritage it had and seriusly took motorsports afterwards. its effect is still seen today! look at the new A6's front grille, it is suposed to evoque the autounions... allthough it is most impressive in the rcent lemans concept.
