bmw....

Hey smart people out there... I know a lot about muscle cars and compact sports and sports in general but I have a question about the letters after the numbers on the cars. What do the X, the I and the C mean?

bimmers

i means injection, which all BMWs have,
c does mean coupe
x means all wheel drive
L (as in 745Li) means long - extended wheelbase/ large rear doors
often you will hear of a cic meaning coupe convertible
CSL means coupe sports lightweight
and so on

there isnt the best to have .... you can t realy say that..... It all depends on what you want if you want luxury go with the 7 you want fast cars go with the C or CSL{i prefer the CSL as you just read it is more sporty}and if you want an all wheel drive go with the X..

SO basicly it s all about what you prefer to have

I don't think anybody has mentioned this yet...

The X which stands for AWD is supposed to represent the four points of power (being all 4 wheels, naturally ). It seems to me that Infiniti has "borrowed" this letter to represent the same thing, a la G35x.

badges

If only the "GTR" badge was slightly more common amongst the bavarian hotrods.

BMW will be slain by the motorspot world if they ever think of 4 liter V8's again.
