Triumph for the Bugatti Veyron

Read this article and find out how a 4162lb supercar can beat a Suzuki GSX R1000 superbike. Plus (and this surprised me), a Veyron not only beats the Suzuki, it creates more g-force at max acceleration than an F-16 fighter jet when taking off or skydiving.

more interesting is to see that from "real" cars the 911 Turbo is by far the quickest, followed by the Gallardo and then the Z06..

The 911 Turbo has owned the 0-100-0 for a while.

What about the other supercars?

The Enzo, Zonda, Koenigsegg, LP640 ...

And of course, the world record holder, the Ultima.

911 Turbo = pure brilliance

The Z4M pulled one over the Cayman S - beat it by 0.5sec!!

And the colour of the Veyron looks awesome! Oh and I guess this justifies the Bugatti. Even though it weighs like a house, and is pretty much equipped like one too, it manages to give the ultimate performance too. Best of both worlds.

Even if it could do a million miles an hour and hit the double ton in 1 second, it'd still be awful.

Indeed - I don't know how any one could argue that it isn't an engineering masterpiece.

I respect it hugely for the technical achievement it is. But I personally found it a bit over the top, the image is a bit pathetic, it doesn't have the elegance of old Bugattis and Vokswagen only did it for the publicity. I'd be much happier in a Pagani Zonda even if it can "only" 210mph.

Is the Bugatti's 0-100-0 time the same as an Ultima GTR 650?

I think so, but the GTR720 was quicker still at 9.4secs 0-100-0.

Some feat for the Bugatti that is then. I know the acceleration is around the same as a GTR 650, but I pressume it is much heavier and must have some an awesome brake set up.
