Why You Should Never Take a BMW X3 Off-Road.

http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin2005-16.html
The BMW X3 was never designed for off-road usage, and this driver found that out the hard way.

this article is a bit bias against bmw isnt it? What I mean is that this could happen with any offroad suv or even a truck.

It was her decision and she paid the price.

A land ruled by Moose and Deer... and the occasional Beaver!
i doubt alot of off-road vehicles could make it... i mean the river is flowing very fast and strong currents and how deep the water was.

i was watching a show were a big ford F-150 4x4 got struck!

I was watching some show about flood drownings and they decribed how powerful running water is in lbs/sq ft depending on the level and speed of the water. Doesn't take much to sweep a lighter car away. I'll think twice next time I fly fish.

Rather insensitive too.

The link took you to the Darwin Awards site - a site set up to record the potential of the species to get smarter by those who are too stupid to live killing themselfs, generally in a stupid way.

We all know many rich people own expensive large SUV's like Porsche Cayenne's, Audi Q7's, BMW X3 and X5's, Mercedes ML320's, 500's etc.. and 95% of these SUV's never travel off-road or on harsh terrain.

It doesn't matter if the vehicle was made for off-roading or not, or even if it could. When you see a flash flood, it means don't go in the water dumbass (not anyone here; the women and people who do it)!
