Why so much? Are they not available otherwise in China?

I hope the "millionaire" made sure they aren't replicas. Everything is a replica in China. Even the sky. Fact.

probably it's like they'd have to wait in a queue for months, if not years. and here they got it off-hand. people who get rich fast want to benefit from it instantly. i heard the story that on some previous china auto show one man was trying to get a 612 scaglietti without signing in on waiting list, offering two times catalogue price. (officialy, his offer was turned down, but we all know ferrari...)

I wonder how this man became a millionaire because he isn't very bright. The most you could really pay for a Veyron (excluding the limited editions) is $1.8 million.

Imported cars are still too expendive in china, for example, the Ferrari F430 which is 180.000 dollars in America is 2.7 million RMB in china(about 270.000 dollars). But its much cheaper than five years ago.

lucky you, we would have to pay 380.000 US$...(and somebody from Denmark probably over half a million)

With todays ultra low dollar, this car:
FINN bil - Norges største bilmarked. Søk etter biler, motorsykler eller bildeler.
..is about $ 507.272..

And it's even a second hand with 10.000 km's on it....

Don't buy cars in china. You'd get ripped off, and probably get run over by bikes. lol.
