BTW, drakkie, I've never heard of any connection between Oka car and Trabant. Oka designer said (in the article) that he took his impression of that time Daihatsu Cuore.

Why is it a 5-door? it's a 4-door sedan BTW, you can see how it is redesigned compared to original Samara. That's because it's a Samara-2 (2115).

you are right of course...anyway I always found the Samara a nice car to be driven in, certainly compared to the 2100 series.

Zhiguli are different, too. For example, the later models suspensions, beginning with 2104, are way harder than the ones of 2101-2103 - it is easily noticed when you're in the car. The difference is really big.
