Apart from all the other Enzo's that were for sale before.

I have seen at least 3 on offer from Verdi last year, and there was at least one on qv500 at the same time.

I think you didn't read close enough:

Other Enzos have been sold but as this says, it is being offered to the public not just a select group of people...

IIRC there were no restrictions as to who could buy these cars from Verdi/qv500
Except the small matter of 1 million Euros.

Not many members of the general public can afford to spend that kind of cash on a car anyway, so it isn't really available to the "public" as such anyway.

Its all marketing hype.

and where other than the salt flats can you possibly reach 240mph? oh yeah... no where else! and anyways if an enzo and f1 were racing the enzo reaches all mph's up to 217 before the f1...so its faster

Well, not really. If a McLaren F1 was on the same road that the Enzo went that quickly on, I'm sure it could've gone faster. The Enzo does not reach "all mph's up to 217 before the f1". The Enzo's 6.6 second 0-100mph doesn't even match the F1's 6.3, and it doesn't match the McLaren's 28.0 second 0-200mph either.

Seeing as they didn't have to take the McLaren to salt flats to test that top speed, I would suggest that there are a few places you could do it.
