GT4 Driving Missions

Hey guys. How's everyone going in regards to the driving missions in GT4? I've done all of them except for mission 34 - and I'm absolutely nowhere near the 1st car at the end of the lap. Do you guys have any recommendations and has anyone actually beaten mission 34?

Best I've done on 34 is get within 2.5 seconds. I have no pointers except drive smooth, slow into the turns and fast out with the SLR. Also be very careful passing the other cars, they'll bang you and bestow a penalty on you in a heartbeat.

Go into Arcade and put on medium sport tires and TCS but no ASM to practice.

Yep, Ive done it.

I cant remember any specifics, but just keep at it. You'll realise where the time is being lost. And just remember, think about the whole lap, not just one corner. Going faster in one bit may ruin your set up further along... keep it steady.

Yea, know what you mean. Its hideous along with the skyline drafting mission. They would both be much easier if they didnt give you cars that handled like friggin pigs

Follow the yellow line and stay in fifth, don't hit the other cars and move out of the way right before thhey hit you. Its not really hard at all. and simpleton, whats the skylines handling got to do with it? ur basically driving in a straight line for that

smoothness is the word here, if you think the cars handle like pigs, you are tossing it around to much.

Mission 34 is pretty easy once you golded all N-ring Licenses.

my current best time for mission 34 is just over 9.00.***, next time, when im bored, ill try to get under 9 minutes

btw i got the pal version, ntsc version is a bit harder!
pal version you need to drive a 7.21 minute lap
ntsc version you need to drive a 7.10 minute lap!
(if you dont know which version you own, NTSC lets you wait 123 seconds before start, Pal version lets you wait 115 seconds before the start)

i did a clean 7.05 lap

if you do the Skyline mission with the controller its real hard. Nearly impossible to keep it smooth in the turns

I used the controller, and I didnt use the joysticks.... still managed it.
Main point is, dont slow down to let them catch up, and keep your car lined up with them when your ahead to make it easier for them to drift. Keep 'foot' planted in 5th, piece of cake.

take in mind that the person qeustioning this is using NTSC version, which is allot harder then the Pal version. Can you post your time?
