i just came back from best buy again to ask them whats was up, apparently whoever i was talking to was talking about arizona best buy's only

so yeah that was my bad, but i still stand with my original argument about graphics..ps3 and xbox 360 are identical...with exceptions like gow being better than any of the ps3 launch titles

as for quiggs, he is a sony fanboy, look at any of his posts about xbox and you'll clearly see he hates it for no good reason..thats no arguement

First of all, you're trying far too hard. Why would a huge console be a good thing? IMO the XBox 360 is big enough, especially when you take into account the size of the power supply.

Sony not even bothering to change the basic design of the controller is a bad thing, ergonomically it's a good bit of design but improvements can be made. It's irritating when pubescent boys hype-up the release of the next games console and act as though it's at the cutting edge of technology. My year-and-a-bit old laptop packs in a much more impressive set of features (100GB HDD, DVD Writer, WiFi and Bluetooth) and is only 1.1 inches thick, not the gigantic plastic brick that is the XBox 360. If you're thinking that this is because the laptop costs much more, consider that at launch, idiots will be paying thousands just to get their hands on the latest consoles. People in the UK were paying £1000 for a PS2.

Domination of games? Whatever. To be honest, if someone offered to swap my PS2 for an original XBox, I'd do it...the only catch is that I have save files that I couldn't move over from one console to another and I've already gone out and bought the games I want for PS2.

The only decent PS2 games that arent now available on the XBox are the ones that came out way before the XBox itself did. As far as driving/racing games go, M$ have a better selection for their consoles. Test Drive Unlimited, PGR3 and GTAs are all examples PLUS Forza Motorsports, which I personally think is leagues ahead of Gran Turismo.

I have GT3 and hate it. It's so unrealistic. If you touch anything whatsoever, there's no gradual and realistic loss of speed a la Forza, it just knocks 20-30 mph off that instant. There's no damage (no deterrent from wheel-bashing tactics), no communication through the camera or controller about what the car's doing and the vehicle handling just isn't anywhere near as polished.

Personally I want to get hold of an XBox 360 Premium package. But I'm going to wait until some of the console's bugs and glitches have been eradicated as well as for the price to drop. £280 is a ridiculous price for a games machine. Especially considering that the games are also a rip-off at £40-45 a pop. I highly suspect that Forza 2, when it comes out will cause me to buy one sooner than planned though.

As I said, I'm fed-up with immature dumbasses acting as though new consoles are the greatest thing since sliced bread. Especially considering that most of the time it's a case of "same as before but with better graphics". The exception to the rule though is Nintendo, they launch consoles at reasonable prices, try new ideas AND make games with the best gameplay. Just wish they had better 3rd party support and some racing games, but then again they're more of a niche operator and are all the better for it...

I was listening to the radio on the way home from Campus yesterday night, and apparently when the first came out in Japan this guy from the states flew over there just to get one, and then flew straight back.

Can you imagine the anticipation to play that? It's bad enough when you buy a game and have to drive home after.
