Well since my bro has a PS3 pre-order, I'm convincing him to sell it on the same night as launch day for $3000. If he does, then I'll take some of that money to get myself a 8800GTX, that's something which will leave at least 2x the graphical power as your consoles in the dust even with some bottleneck. Who's the king now, console boys?

I wasn't there when it happened, but apparently there's 2 consoles there. The one you can see, which does nothing; and the one in the silver box under it, that actually plays the games. Well, the cooling isn't quite adequate when you have everyone and their mother wanting to play the demos and trailers all day long, and it overheated and froze up.

i dont think there is anything wrong with assuming that ps3 at launch will be no competition for the 360..in fact i dont think the ps3 will be worth buying and keeping till about one year from now

really, to be honest, im confident from all of the E3 and gaming expo news reports, articles, shows ive viewed on cable, youtube and the numerous fanboys..on both sides of the battle, the ps3 launch title, whether you like it or not are going to be a hit and miss. Most of the games launched will not look better than the mainstream 360 game, but there will be exceptions from the larger developers whom have larger budgets and time.

Its all about logic. It has been proven by public reaction and feedback that the ps3 will not be as popular as fanboys want it to be, the games DO NOT look as good as everyone hyped them up to be, BUT they will significantly increase in quality given time, resources, funds and of course consumer demand.

bias opinions can be blatantly obvious sometimes, ala this thread, but people still stick to thier comments because they are searching for someone to re-affirm thier own thoughts.

Personally, I think a fanboy is an individual whom seeks to glorify a singular brand over another no matter what arguments are made against it. No matter the facts, they still project thier chosen brand as the one solitary must have product.

The direct competitor is immediately inferior. Whatever the other people say, and whatever facts are shoved in thier face. Creating hype and reinforcing thier opinions through slang and over use of personal opinion is thier forte.

Its a part of the gaming world. There are more loud mouthed fanboys than others and that is where I think we can get it all wrong. The individual who seems loud, but states fact, reinforces personal opinion and is cohesive is often mistaken as the fanboy. What a world.

i freely admit that the Ps3 will in all likelihood be technologically superior to the xbox 360.
however, none of it's games are particularly entincing at the moment, and it's certainly not ~$300 better than the 360.
as much as i like the wii as well, i won't buy one for some time since i just ordered all the parts for a fairly kickass computer, i have like 2 years of PC games to catch up on.

You haven't even played a PS3. Quiggs has. Yet you are the one telling us what the PS3 is really like??

I think you over use the fanboy term. Alot. You seem to have a simple criteria: Prefers Sony over Microsoft. If your fanboy criteria is more complex, please tell me, which I don't think it is. (Remember, I was a 'fanboy' simply for BUYING a PSP, and not a 360)

The irony is killing me. I'm beginning to think there is a reason that all of your console assessments finish with the 360 on top. I'm not going to call you a fanboy though. Maybe it just looks that way from my own perspective.
