I guess I underestimated the number of people who wanted a wii. There was already sixty people at target a long time before I got there...

I think it sucks that European-Australian regions don't get the PS3 until March (which, btw, still hasn't actually been confirmed).

I will definately buy a Wii (Nintendo can pull off global launches), and I've now decided I'm going to wait until GTA4 comes out until I buy a PS3.

So many of the PS3 launch titles are already out on the 360. If I do buy a PS3 at the Australian launch, it will be because of Motorstorm

i searched every store this morning for a Wii, but they are all sold out.

on another note, i found the hd dvd drive for the 360 while looking for the Wii, its really sweet, came with king kong too!

We had 87 Wii's in stock this morning. The line was 88 people long. One father there with his son gave up one of their tickets, so the last guy could get one.

$10 million PS3:

It took me five minutes to process the thought that someone would be willing to pay that much money for a game console. Whether or not the buyer can actually come up with that amount of money is a whole other subject. But with 8 days left to bid, the price could go up even higher than that.

I suppose it all depends on how badly someone wants a PS3. I know most people would probably say firstly, “That’s stupid”...quickly the question would follow, “Is it even worth that much?!” I can answer that question, NO! $600 has already raised a pricing debate in the gaming community, which Sony has a lot to live up to. But $10,000,100.00 is just an irrational amount of money to spend on a device that’ll probably fall under the $450 mark before next year’s holiday season.

Believe it or not, this PS3 being sold on ebay for $10 million, currently has 3 bids to the offer. With 100% positive feedback to the seller’s name, bluenovablast is offering the “hand delivered” PS3 to the highest bidder. There’s been a total of 6 bidders in the history for this item, and so far 3 bidders appear to be in it for the long haul.

There’s also other sellers with offers ranging from $1000, $10,000, $30,000, $200,000 and even a couple for $1,000,000 for a “brand new” Playstation 3 console. People aren’t just capitalizing on the limited quantity of Sony’s new console, they’re literally trying to make enough money to put their kids through college and retire.

Remember, though, the suggested retail price for the PS3 is $499 for the 20gig and $599 for the 60gig. But I guess if you want one bad enough, $10,000,100.00 is nothing short of necessary.

you might want to wait till 2007, the Wii is supposedly being upgraded with a dvd player
