It's April 29th mate, nothing later, nothing earlier.

BTW, don't expect any big updates to the game in May, guys. Rockstar says the entire staff will be taking the month off, and Rockstar will be closed.

You never know. My friend works at Asda and they got a shipment of the game before they closed on friday. I am sure a few will leave through the back door...

I think most of the coding and such was done on PC as is with a lot of games nowadays, so I'm sure a PC version isn't too far away

Well, that's not the release date to everyone.

But, I would strongly advise, you don't play it before April 29th. Otherwise, you'll probably get banned like the Halo 3 folks.

Almost every game i have pre-ordered has arrived one or two days early except Halo 2 and i have never been banned from Xbox Live. Its not my problem i got the game early, its the retailer. I am just saying that i hope i get this one early too.

yeh ms will let you have a few days before i guess but will probably note it so they can get numbers on how many leaked before. but F1 is true if you do play it before the date before the release date even offline, u risk that ms will find you and ban you. read quite a few stories about that. but then it is true its the retailers fault if you do so im sure theyll un ban you once you let them know where you got the game!!

I don't see the point in censoring a game, or indeed doing what some would like and banning violent games / ones with sexual references etc. altogether when you can see it all on a film.

I've played GTA since I was old enough to understand how to use a computer and have never shot, run-over or savagely beaten anyone, abused illegal drugs etc. It's just like the whole "speed" debate. Just because some people don't know how to reasonably and sensibly conduct themselves doesn't mean we should legislate for the lowest common...idiot.

The reason for the censoring is that uncensored, the game falls into the R18+ rating, however, in Australia we don't have an R18+ rating for games, so they need to cut back content so it can make an MA15+ rating and be released.

That's what I'm saying - they won't allow a game that strays over "MA15+", but they'll allow the same films we get here as an "18+"...?

That's just pathetic double-standards. All of these politicians that want "mature audience" games to be banned are just do-gooders with nothing better to do with their uninteresting and narrow-minded lives.

Dear UCP members,

I would like to say farewell to you all, I enjoyed the year and a half I spent here, I made so many friends, had so much fun... but I think it's time for me to move on. I will try to visit the website from time to time, however I'll be mostly inactive.

Goodbye everyone. I'll miss you.

David.

Just kidding, I'm just gonna spend an insane amount of time playing that game, I swear I fear I might lose my social life because of it! Thank you Rockstar! Because of you, I'll look like an anti-social dork! Stop making such awesome games!

Can't wait.
