Go rather yourself. I what depends. One has higher specs but costs more, I think they're intended for different market segments.

close this thread immediately. not only is practically every member on this forum a 360/PC gamer but you're on the wrong forum to start with. the 360 and PS3 opt for totally different media experiences. There are games out for both that will play the same on both. There are games out exclusively for each system. 360 has its main titles out already. Halo 3, gears of war, mass effect. PS3 has them all to come next year. Metal Gear 4, Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy 13, Uncharted etc. PS3 plays blu-ray out of the box (big bonus) 360 can play HD DVDs if you spend an extra £100/$150 for an extra drive.

Both are great. Buy both if possible. If not, then decide which exclusives mean more to you. If none of them do, then just upgrade your pc.

I opted for a new pc and a wii because most of the xbox exclusives get ported over to pc anyway ie gears,lost planet & halo. The big titles seem to come out for pc anyway ie cod4, crysis, ut3, bioshock, orange box and oblivion. With a wii you get all the nintendo exclusives that remain nintendo exclusives.

yeah. thats one way to do it.

i just got a ps3 for christmas because i want a hd gaming system to play on my sofa with my new HDTV when im not gaming on my pc and to play blu-ray. Each console has its own preference. At the end of the day you buy the console for what you want or need.
