SUV World Record
Hope this isn't a repost...

I found this on the Sportec (http://www.sportec.ch/) site:

"SUV World Record 308,435 km/h"
They did it on tuned Cayenne - Sportec SUV SP 600M

yeah have you seen the chopster yet? the designers says it should look like an american football player... it's based on the Cayenne

this is the ultimate custom cayenne...

that first cayenne is hideous.

the chopster is ok but i dont like the front.

the cayenne is as it should be. im sure none of those SUVs kept theyr off road properrties, and that makes them just an oversised sports car.

I would have been really surprised if it wasn't the Cayenne that broke the record. As you all might remember they've already got car w/ trailer speed record...

That's pretty ridiculous...I judge an SUV's performance by how it does in terms of entry/departure angles, mud bog speeds, clearance, and generally how it tackles the dirt, so this is pretty irrelevant. The Cayenne is not an SUV, it's an outsized station wagon. Talk to me about SUV status when it's built on a truck frame and can actually do something more advanced than a dirt road.
