I dont know if i agree with that or not. People seem to naturally assume every new Commodore will sweep the awards so im waiting for the first year they get caught out.

So far all the spy shots have the VE looking like a 380 with BF headlights. Im not confident that will be enough....

The decision was made partly because Holden does not want the VE to hurt sales

of the current VZ -- but also because it does not want to give any of its rivals information about the car they will have to beat.

Thats a bit of a laugh really, Holdens main competitor is still over 18 months away, a few months on top of that is getting a bit trivial. I guess Holden need everything to fall inline perfectly though

I would never consider purchasing another commodore again. I used to own a VX calais which gave me nothing but trouble. Quality was no where near japanese or european standards, and for that matter Korean standards of late. The engines are too harsh and chew WAY too much fuel, not to mention the fact they are unreliable from the engine down to the electrical components. And if people think that it may be a one off issue, my brother purchased the same specification car the same time i did through his company and was running back to holden just as much as i was to get things fixed. So NO i would NEVER consider another commodore.

You see these all the time.
I know every Calais owner and have never herd from there mouths Commodore never.
It's the same as a HSV owner would they call there cars a Commodore?.
I know people that do this without owning these cars we call them fanboys.

But one big point the question wasn't answered, And also the VX is a little way off the VZ. And more to that it's not in the same league as the VE. Because it's a new car. Could i compare my car with a VT? Or for that matter a VZ.
If a AU was bad should that mean i shouldn't consider a Orion?.

it would have to be a large improvement to tempt me. i don't think any of the australian made cars are really up to standard. all the good technology that is available seems to go overseas

All the good Technology is in these cars man. We are not that far behind in these areas, And we are getting better.

The market has thankfully shifted away high petrol consumption vehicles. Local manufacturers should return to building four cylinder cars. It's what the marketplace clearly wants

4cyl cars The market has not shiffted to 4cyl cars only, The big cars do sell still.

I think the commodore will still be challenged by the BF falcon when it comes out. Considering the BF is lightyears ahead of the VZ commodore in almost every department. But the commodore will be much more accomplished then the VT/S/Y/Z

Since their talking about a car that doesn't actually exist on the market yet i find it hard to believe anything they have to say since any info they have is directly from holden so would be bias. Its a VEEEERY common thought the VE looks like its got a BA/BF front look, and not too far off is its striking resemblance in the rear quarters to the 380/Galant. Funny that, the same was said with the VY to the Magna.

Look at your posts regarding Holden/HSV and the VE, then look at the comments you say underneath the news. All you seem to say is what you dont like/hate about the cars or disagree about what Holden says.

I can recall you saying something very similar in this thread of yours New VE Pictures. Is it a Commodore or a Falcon???

The front lights look like Holdens Astra only bigger and wider and the rear originates from the TT36 Torana.

I am a Holden fan.

You've been through all of his 16,061 posts aye?? Oh yer im sure about that. He isn't one sided at all, he, and like many others see the flaws in the products that Holden releases in this dear ole' country of ours.

Simply put, the VE is nothing original and doesn't grab my attention in any way, even though im a Ford fan, i still like several cars from a plethora of other car manufacturers, yes, even Holden.

I don't see you as a "fanboy" as per say, but i don't see the point in going through well established and respected members threads and picking them out as biased and what not..
