With Fords big announcement yesterday, it seems theyve publicly come out with the development code for the car (as opposed to the development NAME being Orion) so until further notice it looks like the 2008 Falcon is known as the E8 Falcon

That'll most definately change for the final production version

Territory for instance was called E265 throughout development. Its speculated E8 is simply for an "E" sized platform due in 2008

well the EA was codnamed ea26 and the XD was blackwood (dunno where that one came from)

Thats one thing i like about holden they hardly make up silly code names and numbers and stuff its just "the VE prototype" not a barcode. It just makes me think of the HARD HAT bit in the first cheech and chong movie lol.

Its out if proportion for the Falcon, so its a bit hard to imagine as a largish sedan...
