What is your favorite Mercedes-Benz?

I would rather have the SL55 AMG, 0-60 in 7sec for the SL500 is too slow for me. plus it is better because you get the best of both worlds, nice performance and luxury from m-b.

I REALLY LOVE THE SL CLASS TO BITS BUT THERE IS ONE MERC CLASS THAT IS THE ULTIMATE IF YOU ASK ME AND THAT IS THE CL-CLASS. and my fav the CL 65 AMG - get this guys - 1000NM of torque at 2000RPM

But seriously, it would have to be the CL, a very elegant car.

By the way, there is a comparison between the S-Type R, M5, RS6 and and E55 in the June issue of Road and Track, and they rated the Merc first place.

I got a mate who just picked up a new E55 a week or two ago and he says he prefers driving it to the SL55 that they sold a week before. He says it seems way faster and its funner.

The SL55 is too heavy(heavier than E55) to be a true sports car.

I like the new E class, but there isn't much to differentiate a E55 in appearance from the rest of the E models except the badge, for most people.

It's the fastest production sedan, but most of the magazine comparisons I've seen so far (at least 4 I think) still rank it below the old and outgoing M5 for driving dynamics and handling.

However, as a toy, I'll still take a SL55 over a E55

It seems most people pick the CL, SL and E55. Anyone going for others like the S or CLK? I know some people would choose a large and powerful sedan like an S600 over a coupe or convertible.

300 SE 6.9, a totally outrageous car at the end of the sixties.
Modern Benzes attract the wrong people.

I like the S55 AMG.It's big and luxurious and can still go pretty fast.
