Lotus supplied the basic chassis development technology from its Lotus Elise. Tesla engineers designed a new chassis with this development technology. The Roadster shares some components with the Elise, such as the windshield, air bags, tires, some dashboard parts, and suspension components.[10] The styling was by Barney Hatt at Lotus' design studio with input from Tesla. The car will be assembled at the Lotus factory in Hethel, England, with drivetrain components and body components supplied to the factory by Tesla.
IMO just as much if not more English

Have fun paying double or even more than what it costs to build a chevy engine.

I am not attracted to muscle cars for their cost effectiveness, and anyways in my eyes, a Charger is far more visually impressive and has a lot more character than a Chevelle. To me it is the prototypical muscle car out there, and it is also the most badassed looking car ever made.

If I want a Chevy from that era, I'll a C2 or C3 Corvette.

I guess if you want a corvette, you don't care about all around driveability either. It's sad that people base everything on looks.

You need to learn about car companies if you think that makes it not american

Check to see where your Fords are built. Good chance the plant workers were speaking spanish. Check where they're designed, many were probably started right-hand drive, if you know what I mean.

Half of chevrolettes weren't even american designed. (notice you never see daewoos anymore?) Or, how about Pontiac, mate? Go on a walkabout in your GTO and throw a few shrimp on the barbie?

Honestly, if you're going by production, Toyota, half of Subarus and Mazdas are more american than Ford, Chevrolet, or others.

Can't pick a solid fav, so I'll go with the one I'd own in a heartbeat if I could:

69 Boss 429 Mustang.........which I'm pretty sure qualifies as a genuine American made car.
