This rumour has been around for a while.

It wont be in the Arnage as is, but its expected replacement.

Because having the fastest production sedan in the world and a coupe and convertible that will pass the 200mph mark just isn't good enough. Not to mention a successful racing past and extremely sought-after classic market.

have we got an automatic post-repeating mechanism, or does it need to be triggered?

Yes, I wouldn't mind a W-16 powered Arnage. I just think that if they quad turboed it the cost of the car would hover around the price of a Veyron.

Buggati's dead? I've heard rumors about SUV's and stuff and baby Veyrons. I don't think they're dead.

What about the limo on Molsheims cards ??
Surely they're not going to compete with themselves??

Ettore may have died in 1947, but the Marque is alive and well and will be around for a while to come !

I'm no expert in Buggatis, but do you think Ettore would have wanted the direction in which VW and its previous owners have taken Buggati?

If you mean the name will be around and miss-used by a giant German automaker for a while to come, I think you're right...

I reckon they did quite a good job on the Veyron. I wouldn't want something with a slanted front, big front lamps, ferrari esque sports car .... all supercars look somewhat identical.... Veyron's different.

Ettore would be glad, bruxell ain't.

Arkansas, Conway, not so bad, really.
VAG's got the Bugatti engine — why not drop it in something else? Where I'd be concerned is if they drop the V-8 as an option.

I saw an Arnage Red Label rolling through my hometown, Conway, the other day. It was wearing Louisiana 'plates, with an awfully rich-looking balding man smoking a cigarette at the wheel. As it happened, I was at the wheel of my wife's newly-acquired 1999 Merc' SL 500; top back.

With some aggressive jockying through traffic (that's one torquey engine, the 5-liter) I got us alongside the Bentley at a traffic light where my wife, as I had asked her to, yelled through the Bentley's smoke-oozing cracked window "Excuse me, sir?"

The guy looked.

"Do you happen to have any Grey Poupon?"

I don't know what kind of sick mother****er wouldn't have at least cracked a smirk at that, but dude sat steely faced, looking at us like two pieces of shit, until the light turned and I made it a point to let him pull well ahead.

Point is, when we got abreast of that Bentley, the engine sounded just like a knitting factory. The exhaust wasn't loud, but that pushrod engine was, and it sounded Fantastic.

Why mess with a good thing? If Bentley drops the V-8 option, then I'll be worried. Until then, let VAG drop that W-16 in whatever they see fit, even a Golf...
