I hate drift events. Not only because they're boring but also because the ambience is very "ricey".

$28,000?! wow, i could like.......fix what I damaged on my car drifting at this event!

It depends on what the family are doing RE holidays, but I think a roadtrip might be able to be organised.....

Is the crime rate of Victoria about to double ..

I think I'm not sure but if you come from Echuka way it's only a few hours i think? I was told, Because we went to Echuka with the VE and went the back long ways, Some people came up from Melbourne and said they came straight down the highway the calder i think took 3 hours, Echuka is the border to NSW we should have crossed the bridge.

*sighs* Can anyone spot the anti-jap-drift-culture-mod?

Drifting isnt "rice" as far as i can tell, your definition of "rice" is putting a set of wheels on a car... but we've had this discussion before...

Drifting is about speed, sideways, smoke, entry angle, noise... its all a big performance not a race. Sure its show but you need the horsepower to get it sideways and hold it there. No one out on the track is a "ricer" and admittantly these events will attract them in plague proportions to watch but to say that theyre boring and "ricey" is just ignorant.

Wait a minute, McReis was just expressing his opinion and he is intitled to express his opinion. Expressing his opinion isn't a sin or wrong. McReis owns a Japanese car so you shouldn't be typing crap like "Can anyone spot the anti-jap-drift-culture-mod?". Blue Supra, I think you should apologise to McReis for typing that BS and for essentially implying he is an "anti-jap-drift-culture-mod".

No. To say that those events are boring is an opinion to which I'm entitled, because I actually don't find those events exciting. Those cars are made o go sideways easily and do anything but that. I find it much more exciting when oversteer comes as a consequence of speed and not the opposite. And I also value much more the skills of those who can recover from a slide than those who have the sole objective of keep it sliding.
I think the events are ricey for obvious reasons: cars still slide without tasteless plastic ad-ons, neon lights and whatever more. Yet, most cars there look silly.

Most of them are. And with that post he seemed to be trying to reinforce my point of view.

Thank you, but there's no need actually. People should stick to their actions.

Like everyone, I don't enjoy being called ignorant. I think you were the one to take personally a comment that was everything but personal. No need to apologise though.

By now, you should also have noticed that I never ban anyone who makes personal attacks towards me, though I'm very trigger happy when the offences are directed to another member.
